LUNCH MEETS Lecture Series: Fall River Whaling Days @ Fall River Heritage State Park in the Visitor Center Theater

Judith Lund, author and former curator of the New Bedford Whaling Museum will present “Fall River Whaling Days”, the neglected story of the city’s participation in the whaling industry.

Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the park. For ages 16 and up and FREE.

Local historian, Taylor Silva, Head of Reference Services, Fall River Public Library, will explore “The Rivers and the Rail” and how nature and the railroad provided a transportation network that spurred the development of Fall River industry and commerce.
