Active Parenting the First Five Years @ Family Resource Center

Evidence-based parent education group for 9 week sessions on Tuesdays from 11:00am – 1:00pm. Covers 5 years of parenting, starting from birth to age five with additional topics including temperament, mindfulness, brain development, self-calming, and special needs. School readiness and parent engagement are also addressed during this series. 

Registration is REQUIRED, lunch served and childcare provided with pre-registration. Contact the FRC to register at 508-567-1735

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group @ Family Resource Center, 2nd Floor
Oct 16 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Monthly support groups held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month from 5:30pm – 7:00pm  for any grandparent raising their grandchildren. 

  • Registration is Required
  • Dinner served
  • Childcare provided with pre-registration

Snapology: Amazing Animals – Build Real Robots! @ Fall River YMCA
Oct 16 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

LEGOS come alive when you learn engineering in one of Snapology’s Amazing Animals Robotics classes! Build a robotic zoo with working motors and sensors! Work in teams under guided instruction to build and program LEGO models. Build a different model each class! Learning is enhanced through use of laptops.

This program is open to students  ages 8-14.
Limit  of 15 students per session.

Monthly support group for mom’s to engage in mindfulness self-care workshops. This group will be held the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

  • Birth Certificate for children 12 years old or younger
  • Piece of current mail for everyone over 18 in the household
  • Custody papers for foster children
Nurturing Families Parenting Group (School Age Children) @ Family Resource Center, 2nd Floor

12-week parenting group for caregivers of school age children 5 years old – 11 years old.

Thursdays beginning on 9/20/18 until 12/20/18. Please register with Jessica Cyr.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Educational Support Group

Hope Dementia & Alzheimer’s Services Alan Johnson, LICSW facilitates this group held on 1st and 3rd Friday of every month. This program is specifically for people caregiving for someone with memory impairment and provides an opportunity to share experiences, receive information, guidance and support. Hope Hospice General Grief Support Group
